ANZ Live

Sydney Festival is one of Australia's largest annual cultural celebrations with an international reputation for modern, popular and intelligent programming. For three weeks each January, the festival offers a rich program of around 80 events involving upwards of 500 artists from Australia and overseas including dance, theatre, music, visual arts, cross media and forums.

 

To showcase the buzz of the festival we created a site that would collate the social networking activity of visitors, enabling them to participate and engage with others from the festival and document their experiences. Helping to create a collective social voice around the event.

Posts are collated from Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Users are able to see a personalised summary of their own activity or an overall aggregated view, on their desktop, tablet or mobile device. The site features both a list and a map view so festival goers can view tweets, photos and check-ins either as a social feed, or plotted on a map, allowing users to see festival ‘hotspots'.

Users can also personalise their experience by connecting with one or more of their social network accounts, which updates the feed with their contributions, either via the hashtag #SydFest, or via Facebook check-ins.

ANZ Live uses the latest standards ensuring compatibility with mobile and tablet devices and industry best practices such as interactive content, Google Map API integration, video and social media.

Social media is already used extensively by visitors to the Sydney Festival, ANZ Live is a way to aggregate all of that interesting and useful content in one place; ensuring you don’t miss a thing.
